Objective: Students will demonstrate understanding of Romeo & Ju;iet, be introduced to new literary terms and how Shakespeare uses them in R & J.

Do Now

Hyperbole, metaphor, pun and personification are all used in ACT 2, scene 2.  Define these terms in your notebooks. We will identify examples of  them when we read today.

1. Read Act 2 , scene 1 and 2.
