Read page 5 - first page of Dangerous Game to yourselves.  What are some words that foreshadow events to come? Jot them down.


Does it sound like something good or bad is going to happen? Why?

1.  Describe the setting and basic situation. Where are Whitney and Rainsford and where are they going?


2.  How does Rainsford feel about animals and hunting?


3. What does Whitney think?


4. What words foreshadow that something bad is going to happen?


5.  Review the paragraphs on page 7, that describe when Rainsford falls into the sea. What descriptive words suggest danger? Review answers.
