Answer the following comprehensive questions in notebooks:


1.  Why does Rainsford swim toward the gun shots?

2. Rainsford follows a blood trail to the chataeu. What animal do you think was shot? 
3. Describe the man that answers the door at the chateau. What is his name?
4. On page 9, list words that describe General Zaroff? How is he similar and/or different than Rainsford (what do they have in common / how are they different)?
5. What does Zaroff say that makes us assume that he is a savage like Ivan?
What is Rainsford's profession (page 10)?
6. What does Rainsford think the biggest game is?
7. What kind of 'game" do you think general Zaroff has imported onto the island?
