Objective: By the end of class, students will be assessed on their comprehensive knowledge of THE SNIPER, vocabulary and be able to recognize universal themes across genres.

1. Multiple choice test with vocabulary.

2. Answer the following CONSTRUCTED RESPONSE QUESTIONS (10 points each). You may use the book to refer to the text:

a. What internal conflict does the narrator of THOUGHTS of HANOI have (what is he most worries about)?

b. Did the IRA Sniper our main character have an internal conflict? What was it?

c. Explain how each author effectively uses a genre to convey the same theme. Remember our discussion regarding genres effects on the reader.
