Objective: By the end of class, students will reading comprehension assignment on study island. Students will also research the update of what has happened in the past 24 hours at PENN STATE and write a summary according to guidelines.

If a family member or close friend committed a crime and you knew about it, what would you do?

1. When you receive a laptop, go directly to study island and sign in. Go to language arts and then to reading comprehension. You are to complete the second section that addresses plot, setting, theme etc.

2. When you complete your study island, research current news regarding the PENN State scandal and write a summary updating the events of the past 24 hours. You may use quotes from the article to support your statement.

3. Exit pass - what skill did you lean today from study island that you did not know before?
