Monday, November 5, The Odyssey

Objective: by the end of class, students will read introduction to the Odyssey, research characters and character traits.

DO NOW

Define Odyssey

Od·ys·sey

( italics ) an epic poem attributed to Homer, describing Odysseus's adventures in his ten-year attempt to return home to Ithaca after the Trojan War.

Write Odyssey and first three vocabulary words on page 649 into notebooks.

Guided / Independent 

Research the following characters and find pics, bios, character traits, etc and send to me to print to add to our board.  Write descriptions and character traits for each in your notebooks as well. Girls research the first four / boys the second four.
