Objective: By the end of class, students will identify character traits and use graphic organizers to describe the homes introduced to date in HOMS and make real life connections.

 In what areas of your life are you most free to do what you like?  In what areas of your life do you have the least freedom?  Consider the roles gender, race, religion, education, class, age, and upbringing play in limiting an individual’s personal freedom.

Review answers from study guide packet for Cathy Queen of Cats and Our Good Day.

Reread  THOSE WHO DON"T and answer the study guide questions for this vignette.  Turn in packet and get new one for next section.

Independent

Use the book to complete the first three questions on the handout about the HOUSES described in House in Mango Street. You can complete Esperenza's, Cathy's and Louie's today.
