In 3-4 sentences -

Yesterday you told me about your most valuable possession. Would you give it up to get something special for the person you loved most in your life?

4. Soft holt reader - Gift of the MAGI - page 140-142 only

2. Answer the following questions:

a. How much money does Della have? What is her conflict?

b. Where do Della and Jim live? Describe the setting of the story.

c. The sign said, "Mr. James Dillingham Young." Sounds like a prestigious name, no? What might this suggest (what is the author's intent)?

d. What is Della's most valuable possession?

e. What is Jim's most valuable possession?

f. What kind of relationship does the couple have?

g. What do you predict will happen next?
